Won't investors notice it sounds 'written'?
Investors notice generic, not written. The voice-training call is what makes the difference — we read your past updates, your blog posts, your Loom recordings, and write drafts that match. Most founders find the FounderFile draft is closer to what they would have written if they had time than what they actually ship under deadline pressure.
Do you have other customers we can reference?
Not yet. FounderFile launched in May 2026. The sample on this page is fictional. Two ways we de-risk it: (1) first month is $0, no commitment; (2) you can cancel any month with zero friction.
What if my investors prefer to see metrics in a tool like Visible?
FounderFile delivers the narrative update. Use Visible or Carta for the metrics dashboard — they're complementary. We give you something you can paste into the Visible "Notes" section or send via email; we don't replace the dashboard.
What's the voice-training call like?
30 minutes. We talk about your company, your style, your investors, your asks. You send us 2-3 past updates or blog posts. From there, drafts match within 1-2 cycles. If voice match feels off after month 1, we redo it free.
Can I have you write more than one update per month?
By default, one per month. If you need quarterly investor letters, board reports, or quarterly board decks, talk to us — we'll quote those as add-ons. We're focused on monthly updates because that's the cadence that builds the trust.
What if I want to take over and write my own update one month?
